1. Who we are
By Brito Beauty Salon ("By Brito", "we") is a beauty salon located at 80 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134, United States. We are responsible for the personal data you provide when using this website and our online booking system.

2. What data we collect
We collect only the data needed to serve you:
- Contact details: first and last name, cell phone number and email address.
- Appointment details: requested service, professional, date and time, and any notes you choose to include when booking.
- Service history: your past appointments with us, their status (completed, cancelled, no-show) and the associated payments.
- Consent records: when you accept our policies while booking, we store the date and time of acceptance, the version of the text you accepted, your IP address and the browser used, as evidence of your authorization.
- Date of birth (optional): only if you provide it, so we can wish you a happy birthday.
We never store your card details. Payments are processed directly on Stripe's or PayPal's certified platforms; we only receive a payment reference (see Service providers).
3. How we use your data
- To manage your bookings: create, confirm, reschedule or cancel them.
- To send you appointment confirmations and reminders by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To contact you about any urgent matter related to your appointment (for example, an unexpected availability change).
- To process deposits, payments and, where applicable under our cancellation policy, no-show charges.
- To send you promotions and news only if you expressly opted in when booking.
- To comply with legal, accounting and security obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
4. SMS and WhatsApp messages
By providing your cell phone number during booking, you agree to receive transactional messages related to your appointment (confirmations, reminders and change notices) via SMS or WhatsApp. Message frequency varies with your booking activity. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help. You can also call us to change your preferred contact channel.
Marketing messages (promotions and news) are sent only if you gave express consent by checking the corresponding box, and you can withdraw it at any time.
6. Service providers
To operate the booking system we share the minimum necessary data with providers that act under their own privacy policies:
- Stripe (card payment processing): receives your payment details directly; we never see or store them. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- PayPal (payment processing): as with Stripe, payment happens on their platform. See PayPal's privacy policy.
- Twilio (SMS and WhatsApp delivery): receives your cell number and the content of the transactional message. See Twilio's privacy policy.
- Email provider: receives your email address and the content of your appointment notifications.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your customer profile and appointment history while you maintain an active relationship with the salon, and afterwards only for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting or tax obligations. Consent records are kept as evidence while the relationship exists and for the applicable legal periods.
8. Your rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time by contacting us by phone or at the salon:
- Access: know what data of yours we hold.
- Correction: update incorrect or outdated data.
- Deletion: ask us to delete or anonymize your profile. We will honor your request unless we must keep information due to a legal obligation (for example, payment records).
- Withdraw consent: stop receiving marketing or change your preferred contact channel.
9. Minors
Our online booking system is intended for people over 18. If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must book for you. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we detect a minor's data without authorization, we will delete it.
10. Security
We protect your data with reasonable technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-restricted access for salon staff, single-use expiring appointment management links, and audit logging of changes. No system is infallible, but we treat your data with the same care as your hair.
11. Changes to this policy
If we modify this policy we will publish the new version on this page, with its version number and date in the header. Significant changes will be announced on the site before taking effect.
